Hey there!
So you’re reading this because something about this gathering felt right to you, and that tells me we probably see the world in a similar way. ✨
I’ve had my share of good hangouts, and some…not-so-good ones. From that, I’ve been trying to piece together what a real community should feel like. And that’s exactly what I’m trying to build here. I have a couple of ideas, and I’d love to hear yours too!
Think of this as your invitation to gather with intention. A place to create, to laugh, to snack, to play, but also a place to talk about things that matter. Because this isn’t just a hangout. It’s a space where we can start shaping the kind of community we’ve all been missing.
Here’s the plan:
✨ Who? Yourself, as you are able!
🎨 What? The very first Porchlight Hours indoor picnic!! Please bring a blanket if you’ve got one (or a lawn chair if sitting on the ground doesn’t work for ya). I’ll bring coloring books, paper, and all the doodle gear you could want. There’ll be snacks too, so bring something to share if you’d like, but no worries if you come empty-handed.
📅 When? Sunday, July 6th, 2025, from 2 to 4pm.
📍 Where? Let’s get out of this heat and check out the Libbie Mill Library (meeting room in the first floor, between the Circulation Desk and the lake-facing side of the library)
💭 Why? To introduce ourselves, share ideas, and hopefully make some new friends!
Thanks for being curious enough to be here. I can’t wait to see what grows from this!
